So we're in renovators' limbo right now. Working on plans, deciding what needs to be done first, meeting our neighbors who are nice enough to show us their houses to give us some idea there might be light at the end of the tunnel in a decade or so, etc.. :)
The current dilemna of the day is roof territory. The roof sucks and we should probably do a complete tear off. We MIGHT be able to get away with another layer and then worry about doing a big tear off in a few years when there aren't quite as many screaming priorities at the same time. As you might expect, a new roof is a huge chunk of change as well as being a critical factor for the houses well being, so we want to make the right decision here. Also should come as no surprise that the roof is coming in at about 5-10K more than we had originally had hoped. Not that Im shocked that its more than we expected really...things always seem to be. But its making the decision that much more difficult.
So when in doubt, shop!

Add these items to the little pile o crap we're accumulating for "later". Please note that Im still in the imagination/dreaming shopping phase when I clearly should be in the "we need this now" phase. When that starts happening, watch out!
