I know I don't usually post about anything other than my own home but I found this so fun and fascinating, I just had to share this.
Sure - Brooklyn is crowded and overpriced and all the things that come with urban life. But where else are you going to find a faux tunneling through the earth art installation? Not many places, I tell you.
I read this article in the paper this morning and am seriously excited about it. I know its silly but I think its actually pretty genius and another reason living here is worth it.
For those that aren't local and can't experience this in the flesh, you can order your own mini version for the bargain price of $320. Zoinks. And could they please find a hand model with a little more finger hair?
Sadly, I'm not going to be able to visit this on its first day in the flesh which coincides with the Brooklyn Bridge 125th anniversary celebration which happens to feature fireworks. And yes, I love me some fireworks. But I'll be making my way over there before the exhibit is over.

ReplyDeleteWow. I'm not sure what stumped me more, the art or the guys super hairy fingers.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the fireworks though, what a beautiful place to watch them!
So interesting. And to use its free in the US and not free in London. Hmm...
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh, that's too funny. And that hand model! Wow. It's a lot to take in. -Julia
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain , I am sharing in the disappointment of waiting on deliveries.
ReplyDeleteHow can things go so wrong.
That exhibit is so funny/cool/weird! I love how its creator insists that it's actually a trans-Atlantic tunnel built by his forefathers. LOL! Only in New York. And, um, London.
