I didn't think it was going to be up until next week but what should I find on my daily stroll through blogland?
La Dolce Vita featured Brooklyn Limestone in her Personal Style series!!
When she asked me I was very excited but also a bit nervous. I am by no means a professional and her blog features some really talented designers. I felt a bit out of my league. But that's what got my butt in gear to finish off the kitchen to-do list so its now officially unveiled. Not a huge change, I know but a little tweak to polish it off. Hope you enjoyed the interview. A big thanks to Paloma for asking me to take part!
Beautiful! Cannot believe your kitchen was a small bedroom! Where was the old kitchen?
ReplyDeleteThe house was configured differently but the old kitchen was the even tinier room that is now my office. Here is the photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stefanier/2428364997/sizes/l/in/set-72157613088325633/
ReplyDeletei love it. i love it. i love it. i love it. I know we have never formally met, but we will tomorrow morning when I show up on your doorstep, shake your hand, and place my permanent residency in your beloved kitchen. :o)
ReplyDeleteI am still trying to figure out how I got to your blog, but I LOVE IT! I love your kitchen. I mean it is perfect. I read the piece on you at La Dolce Vita. I am so glad that you mixed metals cause I do that all the time. Mostly out of necessity in that I can't always afford to redo so that all match! Your home is lovely and I must take time to look at all your pictures on flickr!! This is a dream home! I would never want to leave it ;-)
ReplyDeletestephanie, your kitchen is beautiful. love the finished bar stools. i'm all for mixing metals. gives the room 'texture'. and i'm all for crushed ice, too. pam
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen is so perfect - I couldn't imagine changing a single thing!
ReplyDeleteStephanie! May I ask...what brand is your fridge?? I couldn't tell by the pic -- it is sooo beautiful! Well...the entire kitchen is to die for... :)
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing it!
Ruth
Thanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteThe fridge is a Geprofile.
Suzie: I put the wrong link up there. Here is the old kitchen: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2287/2428364997_8e7dcf8b13_b.jpg
It was a great interview! And I LOVE the way the turquoise stools turned out. Gor-ge-ous.
ReplyDeleteI may or may not have read your entire blog from start to finish over the past week or so...such inspiration! Makes me want my own reno project (someday)...
Uh...I swooned over at Dolce's...plus I'm flirting with your kitchen. Those push botton light switches!! Oh, let me just try them...puhleeeease?????
ReplyDeleteThe stools look PERFECT. I love them in your kitchen.
ReplyDeleteLove the kitchen! Push button light switches have been on my list forever. Someday...
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I want to move into your kitchen. Is that odd? LOL!
ReplyDeleteMaybe everyone knows this already but you can make a switch to the pushbuttons very easily. You just need the switches and the plates - they work with standard electrical wires.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!! It looks great of course.

Wow! You must be kidding... you are not a professional???? Your house is gorgeous, and your projects are so creative! I am totally jealous of your talent (and your house!).
ReplyDeleteI've really enjoyed browsing your blog and looking at the pictures. I can't believe the transformations! It's just incredible.
By the way, I love your new coffee table! It's beautiful. Maybe it was meant to be.
