I know consumerism is a dirty word these days but I don't care. I'm going on an imaginary shopping spree for things I don't need but I want anyway. Economic downturn be damned, imaginary shopping never hurt anyone.
First stop, is Urban Outfitters for this jewelry tree. I might have a total of 2 necklaces and I never wear them - so I definitely don't need this. But isn't it purdy?
Next stop is the online boutique A Beautiful Life. There are a quite a few things I could throw in my shopping cart here but these three brass birds are a favorite. They would look so pretty on my make believe shelves!
And now the old home decor giant that everyone loves to hate - Pottery Barn. These faux french apothecary bath accessories are lovely. I'm definitely not organized enough to move my bath stuff from package to pretty pot but a girl can dream, right?
Last but not least these zinc letters from Ballard Designs to spell out our monogram.
Want to come shopping with me? Whats on your list?

I love the letters. I have them from Anthropologie in my Carraige House bathroom! Smaller, and just a couple of B's ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe birds are cute!
I've had that UO branch sculpture for a couple years now and still love it. : )
ReplyDeleteThe jewelry tree is really neat, mine currently hang from the end of my closet shelves, lame.
ReplyDeleteAt Anthro the other day, I spotted some bowls that I liked and some summer shades....and a basket...and some soap...and a ....
ReplyDeletethat place is dangerous. I walked away---willpower!
I'm buying that jewelry tree today! I've been looking everywhere for somewhere to hang all my CDM (www.carriedmader) baubles.
ReplyDeleteOh, fun! A little imaginary shopping never hurt anyone, huh? ;) At the top of my list would be a new chair for my family room.
ReplyDeleteThe apothecary bath accessories are gorgeous, but I can only imagine what it would be like trying to refill that pretty toothpaste tube.
ReplyDeleteI pretty much just got out of school for the summer, but I'm already lusting after school supplies for next school year (most of which I don't really need.) I had to forcibly keep myself from ordering a Moleskine planner, instead contenting myself in converting a Moleskine notebook that I already have to suit my planning needs. I don't know what it is about office/school supplies, I just freaking love them. I could spend so much money in Staples. Excuse me while I go lovingly caress my paper clips and pens.
I love an imaginary shopping spree, so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI've been coveting West Elm's Zig Zag run since it came out! I want it in my guest bedroom, but I'm wiating for a sale.
ReplyDeleteI bought my husband some of the apothecary bath decor from Bath & Body by Bigelow Chemists (looks exactly the same). Even though it is purely for look and serves no functional purpose as he does not shave with a straight razor, I love looking at them.
ReplyDeleteyes, yes and yes....i'll take one of each. nice finds.
ReplyDeleteI love the birds and the jewelry tree. I think this tree in brass is a must have and I want it now. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for introducing me to 'A Beautiful Life'...just added it to my favorites! Janell
ReplyDeleteI love the jewelry tree. I have wanted the Fairest One Of All mirror from Anthropologie forever! I've never bought it though. That's my imaginary shopping.
ReplyDeleteLove the birds, and love imaginary shopping. I've tried to explain to my husband that just because I imaginary shop, doesn't mean I want or need to buy it all. I just love the hunt!
ReplyDeleteNice photos Mrs L. Love the little birds. Oh and there is nothing wrong with imaginary shopping I do it all the time......just need to work out how to get my rooms to look like the picture in my head :-)
ReplyDeleteI did this the other day, at an actual store. Just tried everything on without looking at the price. I know, poor store clerks....
ReplyDeleteI have the necklace tree (in cream) and it is the best - I get compliments from everyone who uses our guest bath! And I've been pining over the same zinc letter for our kitchen for awhile now!
ReplyDeleteLet's see, on my list...Anthro tea house doorknobs for all our doors, Moravian Star ceiling lights for our hallways (Shades of Light), the West Elm antique tiled mirror, to name a few!
