Thanks so much for your comments on my photographs. I'm glad you enjoyed taking a walk 'round the nabe. On to a couple more photos if you don't mind.
On Sunday we went a little bit farther out of our way to DUMBO (down under the manhattan bridge overpass). Its got a very unique vibe as part old industrialized area, part hipster mecca, part tourist trap. However you describe it, its a great spot for photography.
Unfortunetely for us, the weather didn't cooperate so I only got a very short stroll before it started to pour and the camera got put away. Even still, I think I got some photos that might work for the bathroom. Just not sure if its too much of the same.
(I really like this shot but its the wrong orientation for the frame. To use it I have to cut off a lot. )
What do you think? Frame these are keep trolling for better?
I love the second one so glad to see you included that in your mock up. I also agree re the puddle shot - such a great shot but I think it looses something being so cropped. Can you hang one in the centre of the wall for now and then hang more as you take them? A more organic process, but obviously slower and more frustrating!!
ReplyDeleteoh, and I forgot to say that your 3rd choice is also stunning. It really pops in your mock up
ReplyDeleteKeep trolling for better. What happened to the Grand Central Station idea?
ReplyDeleteLOVE them all!!!
ReplyDeletei definitley think you should frame these over the other batch (which were very good as well). These just embody Brooklyn
ReplyDeleteYou're such a talented photographer - any of those would look great in the bathroom. I especially love the last photo!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures! And I think they look great in your bathroom.
ReplyDeleteI love them! I agree the puddle one gets cut off too much- but it'd be fabulous in another place in your home.
ReplyDeleteI love them!! They're so perfect! What about a picture of a Jonny Pump ..it would be perfect since it's a bathroom! :) I have a lot of family in Brooklyn & lots of great memories playing in them when I was a kid!
ReplyDeleteThe puddle picture get's my vote, though as others do prefer it prior to being cropped in your mock up. I like the water, rain, puddle aspect of the photo...works in an off beat way in a bathroom. Janell
ReplyDeleteThese look excelent framed up. I like the crop on the puddle reflection shot and it looks great in the silver frame.
ReplyDeleteI know that location very well and take my son there at times. He likes to stand right down by the water and throw those large stones in the river.
Good stuff.
GREAT stuff!! The puddle shot is amazing...very creative and different.
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to go back to NY really badly!
I love your photographs. :) The one with the puddle is great.
ReplyDeleteLove them! But how do you do the mock-up? I want to do some mock-ups of my own.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the ones you have on the ends, but the puddle one doesn't add to them.......try for a different third one and use those two. You are an amazing photographer!
ReplyDeleteSuzanne
I love all of the pics but the puddle one is my favorite. I love Dumbo, The River Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in NY. Last time I was in NYC, I ate my Grimaldi's pizza under bridge because they were closing and wouldn't let us eat inside. Also, you're so lucky to have Jacque Torres around the corner. Come by and visit, the new City Escapes series started today. I can't wait to see what you'll putting together for us.
ReplyDeleteI like 1, 5, 6, & 7. You have quite the eye! I think I've asked you before - but have you thought of selling your photos? Heck, maybe you already do and I don't know. If so, will ya shoot me an email?
ReplyDeleteLOVE those! I think you picked the perfect ones in your simulated picture. I think they'll really enhance the feel of that bathroom. Lovely! (I am soo living vicariously through your blog. You have created the dream home!)
ReplyDeleteYou take beautiful pictures! I think those are beautiful, but then again I think all of your photos are beautiful and any of them wold be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think they're great...and I love the DUMBO theme! I have to admit that when I think of that area, I think of chocolates. Yum!
ReplyDeleteFrame 'em up...they're fabulous! Do you sell these? Because you should!

Your images have a wonderful ability to transport the viewer to a different place, quite simply, your images are magical.
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful. The bathroom just takes my breath away, as does the rest of your amazing home.
ReplyDeleteI sort of think the puddle one doesn't work with the other two because it's such a close-up. But the whole room is stunning no matter what you choose.
Thanks so much for your really sweet comments (except you anon - sorry you disapprove)
ReplyDeleteI don't sell my photos - there are many much more talented people than me who you can buy from. If you really do want a print of my photo, I'm happy to sell them for whatever it costs me to print and ship them. Just contact me.
On these prints, I decided to order three and then just see how it looks. If I don't like it, I'm out the cost of the prints but not a disaster.
the ones on the mock-up are perfect. for true.
