Seven years ago today, Mr. Limestone and I got hitched. I know its incredibly corny to admit but it really was the most wonderful day. We have both been very fortunate to have many wonderful days in our lives but no other day can compare to the feeling of pure love, support and beauty we felt in 2002. It was far from perfect - and if we were marrying today, it would likely look a bit different (even in just 7 years, wedding trends are different now) - but just a fabulous time for us. I hope our guests had even half as much fun as we did.
I won't bore you with too much in the way of text but rather share some photos from the day.
Taken in my kitchen.
If it were socially acceptable, I would wear this dress everyday.
Very unlike me - we were running late.
We decided ahead of time to meet before the ceremony. Both to have our little moment as well as get some photos out of the way. We met at one of my favorite NYC spots, Grand Central Station.
You can't tell here but I cried like a baby. *also very unlike me.
Then it was time to get married.
We got married at Saint Malachy's church just off Times Square. Even though our ceremony was short and sweet, the program was 16 pages and included baby photos, interesting historical happenings on the day, etc.. What can I say? I like to read while I wait so I provided that option to our guests.
Once again, very unlike me, but I bawled all through the vows.
In my emotional state, I also put Mr. Limestone's ring on the wrong hand. (He even tried to help me out by giving me his left but I picked up his right hand anyway)
One of my favorite photos.
Ross petals at our head and it was off to the party.

Aw, happy anniversary! Lovely photos and gorgeous dress. Your comment about the ring made me laugh - I couldn't get my husbands ring to fit onto his finger, and I started laughing and making goofy faces while trying to jam it on. Some things just can't be perfectly planned. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I wouldn't change anything...7 years ago, and it looks like it was done yesterday. Congrats on your anniversary!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteWow...what gorgeous pictures! I can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
Congrats on your anniversary!!! A wedding is one of the most meaningful moments of all. Lovely pics also!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The pictures are lovely. Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteWe just celebrated 3 years. Remember the save the dates w/ the b/w empire state building sketch that you put together in late 2006? That was us :-)
Gorgeous photos! Gorgeous wedding! Congrats on your anniversary! Hope you get to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteAwww! Even through the pictures you can feel the love! I love that you did things that are unlike you, like cry and put the ring on the wrong hand. I think that's what makes weddings so special - they make people so emotional they do things they wouldn't normally (but cute, happy things). Can't wait to see the rest of the pictures!
ReplyDeleteI was there on that very special day. It was really a joyous day full of perfect details. And Stefanie crying made it even more perfect- since that is so not like her.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! Love your veil!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! How did you two meet? And that wasn't corny at all :) It's so sweet to hear how much couples really feel on their wedding day!
Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing such beautiful photos of your special day. And I hope today is another special day for you and your husband.
Love it that you took wedding photos in Grand Central Station! I adore Grand Central, and walking through it each day to catch the train home is one of the things I miss the most about living in NY and working in the city.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary. Those are gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! October is my favorite month, but we were married in April of 2002 b/c Florida is usually still too hot in October. Happy 7 years! The Grand Central Station pictures are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Happy, happy anniversary to Mr. & Mrs. Limestone!
