There are few things I find as exciting as finding a surprise package in the mail. So of course Christmas is the perfect opportunity to put that sentiment into practice. Along with our holiday wishes, we usually send out a little surprise for friends and family.
In 2002, 03 and 04 I sent out customized Christmas CDs. That was back in olden times when people actually played CDs. After 04, I started sending out something a little different each year.
I like the little gift to work in concept with the message. So when I sent out pez, I wished for everyone's new year to be sweet. When I sent out greeting cards, I wished for all of the the years events to be happy ones, etc..
So guess what we spent last night doing? Getting this years Christmas mailing underway! If all goes well, they will be in the mail soon.
Anyone have a guess what the mystery package is?
I have no idea but I know that it will be wonderful. Maybe something to do with your travels? Send me your email and I will send you the yummy cookie recipe. Have a great holiday season.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet is that?! And how in the heck do I get on your Christmas card list?!
ReplyDeleteLove 'em.
Kelly
Hmmm... This is why being a talented overachiever is hard - you have to outdo yourself!! Sorry, no suggestions here but I wanted to tell you that I love, love, love, love and yes, LOVE Christmas 06's card! I tried to find another picture of it around the site but no luck yet! I was thinking something similar would be so cute for my daughter's first birthday!! If you have any other pictures of it, please let me know!
ReplyDeleteOh and good luck, overachiever! :)
I love this idea of your friends must look forward to your 'cards' each year...I would. xv
ReplyDeleteI have no idea but don't doubt they will be fantastic.
ReplyDeleteNote to self - next year design a fab card a la Mrs. Limestone...
:)
Those library bookplates are too precious! They'd be perfect for my friend, Hannah, whose dream is to have her own library one day. Where can I buy some?
ReplyDeleteMy guess for this year's cards... a dollar bill? For a prosperous new year?
Oh you dog you....making us guess and all! Ha LOVE the dollar bill idea that the socialite above proposed!
ReplyDeleteAnything you do will reek of amazingfantabulousness!
And...all I can think is that you must have my address wrong, I'll email you the correct one.

ReplyDeleteThanks everyone. Getting on my christmas list is very hard to do :) I refuse to have more than 50 on my list at any one time so only those on the nice list stay on. haha
ReplyDeleteRuralSocialite - I designed and printed the bookplates myself but I know you can buy them too. I saw them in Anthropologie sometime this summer.

So much fun!!! Is there a place to buy some of your lovely printed pieces? Also, what kind of printer do you use for your fun design projects?
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Kristin
I love your cards! My guess is wishes of good health, with a mini kit of bandages, antiseptic etc. That would be cute, and super easy to put together!
ReplyDeleteKristen: You can buy these cards per se but I do custom design work for clients. My design site is: www.sonicstefdesign.com
ReplyDeleteFor clients, I use professional printers. For my own stuff I tend to mix it up. Sometimes I have my printers do it, sometimes Ill just print it at home. Depends on how much time I have I guess.
Monica: That is such a good idea. I might have to use that in a future year!
Lavender&Lilies: I do my own designs using Illustrator and photoshop.
dying here...I cant wait to see what they are this year!!
ReplyDeleteOh, you're so creative - lots of great ideas through the years :)
ReplyDeleteI'm simply IN LOVE with your 2008 Library Card set! Any chance of sharing the image files (or is it something you've already posted or have available for purchase?)??
