Mostly in honor of an impromtu family member's visit from Italy, we are throwing a party tomorrow afternoon. I normally have a lot more time to plan and set up so Im a bit unprepared this time 'round. Wish me luck!
excuse the big blank spaces - i blanked out our address and telephone number
As you can tell, the concept is an Italy meets New York Christmas. Its a bit vague but it was the best I could come up with 1 day notice. I hope to have some photos to share with you next week but until then, here is the invitation I sent out in a whirl.
If you have any last minute ideas to amp up the theme, I'd love to hear them.
Until then, Buuooonn Naaataaale means a Merrrrry Christmas to yooouuuuu!
how fun!! im italian and love this!
ReplyDeleteLove the invites! I think you will be able to pull off an amazing party!
ReplyDeleteI love coming to your blog. It always puts a smile on my face and makes me miss home more. I am born & raised Brooklynite and currently living in Georgia. We can't wait for when my husband retires from the Army and we move back to NY.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful holiday season and Happy New Year.

Ooh, lovely! What font is being used on the invite (everything but the Buon Natale in Brooklyn)?
ReplyDeleteThose are fabulous. Make sure to put them in a colorful envelope, people tend to open those first. :)
ReplyDeleteHow about Big Italy meets Little Italy? Perhaps checkered tablecloths, breadsticks, chianti, Dean Martin music, family style platters of great home cooked food. Make it fun and it decreases the stress too often found at the holidays. It will be great regardless of what you do, Mrs. Limestone.
ReplyDeletePS-Been meaning to ask, What is the script font you use for the Brooklyn Limestone logo on your blog? Thanks!!
Love that invitation! That is so fun. I also went through your wedding photos you posted a while ago. Love them! Our wedding program was super long, so I love that yours was too. I, like you, like something to read while I wait and get so annoyed when people have a one sheeter...it is like, "Hello! What am I supposed to do while I wait?"
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I'm sure your party will be fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAww, I'm sure it will be fantastic! Can't wait to see photos and have fun! :)
ReplyDeleteYou'll pull it off. I have no doubt. Have fun.
ReplyDeletehave fun!
ReplyDeleteand for what it's worth, the invites are great! ;-)
How exciting! Typically a surprise guest instills great gobs of stress, but I hope you have lots of fun with this. From the looks of the invite, you will!
ReplyDeleteBuon Natale to you and yours!
Thanks for that song at the end, too!!
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely the hostest with the mostest to be able to put together such great invitations on a moments notice. Most impressed :)
ReplyDeleteI love those invitations!
ReplyDeleteSometimes last minute plans work out the best.
ReplyDeleteI love the invitations! I can't wait to see more pics. I'm sorry I've been m.i.a but now I'm back.
ReplyDeleteFabulous as always! I love the invites-you're so creative :) Can't wait to see the rest of the decor!
ReplyDeleteeverything is GORGEOUS! May I ask where you got the hanging snow flakes? I love those...
ReplyDeleteMonica - The hanging snowflakes came from Target. I bought them last year but I know they still carry them.
ReplyDeleteCorlines - The block font is called pharmacy.
Victoria - The font in my header is called susies' hand.
The Herlings - I feel the same way..I want something to read while Im waiting. I get very impatient without. Plus I like to learn a few things about the couple, etc..
