Flea Market Style & A Freebie

I'm kind of a sucker for flea markets and junk stores. I just like the idea of turning something that is a castaway into something treasured. So it would come as no surprise that a new magazine titled Flea Market Style would perk my ears right up.

As if the title wasn't enough of a draw, it features work by some pretty talented bloggers. Namely one of my favs, Linda McDonald of Restyled Home .

And while I'm a complete magazine junky and lured in by the covers promises, I'm often disappointed with what I find on the inside. I don't like an overly cluttered or country style so I can be easily turned off but I'm happy to report that wasn't the case here. Aside from a great feature on others bloggers, there were some great practial ideas that jumped out at me.

Both just happen to be clever ideas from co-editor, Ki Nassauer of Junk Style. The first is this clever cat bed from an old nightstand. I'm still pretty partial to my own version of a repurposed cat bed but I admit this one is much more fabulous.

Another is a simple but a fun way to display photos.

Would you like a copy? I'm happy to pass one (slightly used copy) along to a lucky reader. Just leave a comment and make sure you include a way for me to reach you.

And for the rest of you, go grab your own copy at newstands everywhere.

Have you ever turned trash into treasure? I'd love to hear about it and feature it on my blog. Leave a link to your blog post or email me at bklimestoner@aol.com

  43. A shout out fromMrs. Limestone always makes me feel so special!! Thank you so, so much for hosting this give-away and for your kind words. I still haven't been able to track down a copy in my neck of the woods (thank goodness I was sent some ahead of time...I'd have been like a mad woman!), so I know some other readers are having difficulty finding a copy.

And personally, I think both Ki's and your cat bed could go down in history as the most elegant pet beds ever!!

    Thanks again!!
    Cheers,
    Linda
