At just $25, I like this just as much as the $135 Fornasetti pillows that inspired it.
And you know how Im a big fan of mixing high with low, right? We'll I just happen to have some real deal Fornasetti plates burning a hole in my proverbial pocket. I love them but I can't decide just where they should live. I can't wait to hang them!!
In other news, you may have noticed I installed a new commenting system on the blog. The upside is that I can respond to your comments directly and its easier to see the responses. The downside seems to be that its kind of slow. Would you mind testing driving it and letting me know if you think it a good trade off. Should I keep or scrap it? Im torn.
So pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pillow! I like it.
ReplyDeleteAs requested, I'm trying out the posting system. I actually have never heard of disqus until you mentioned it. It reminds me of both "discuss" and "discus throw." So I'm throwing a comment your way to talk about pillows. Fabulous pillows. And in particular, one fabulous pillow. Where will you put it?
p.s. Disqus does seem to be a little slow and it took a minute to figure out which ID to use to sign in (since I don't use the options given usually), but it is easier to read than the other system you used. Hope that helps. :)
Trying out the new comments. I think I like this better, but it took a second for it to load.
ReplyDeleteLove the pillow, by the way.
OMG. I love it. LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'm just noticing that you're using DIsqus. I switched over to it a few days ago and I like it so far.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever heard such an original plea to get people to comment! Nice one. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSarahx
Seems a little bit cumbersome....?
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to keep retyping my details in - they don't appear automatically.
I might put it in the living room (that was my first thought) but if I paint the dresser blue I think I need to use that shade in the pillows too. So Im not sure. But I know it will make the rounds in the house :)

ReplyDeleteCute pillow!
ReplyDeleteVery cute...love the dresser and can't wait to hear about how the counter top paint holds up, been thinking about using it myself.
ReplyDeleteOoooooooo........very cool! Can't wait to see where it & the plates end up.
ReplyDeleteLove this....xv
ReplyDeleteLovely Pillow, and the comment system looks pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteGreat find! I love to mix high and low end decor as well. Hope your having a great day!
ReplyDeleteI've been using Disqus for a while now and I like it. They've been growing a lot in the last few months and there were definitely some hiccups in the last few weeks. I finally put it on my work blog two weeks ago and the comment import took almost a day. When I installed it on my design blog, the comments were imported within about 5 minutes.
ReplyDeleteI think that they're staying more on top of things now. I have really loved how easy it has been to reply directly to people via my phone and I think seeing threaded comments creates a little "community" within the comments on my blogs.
Good luck with it! I hope it works out for you!
I love it! I may have to get one for my house as would look cute in living room or bedroom. I like the new comment section.
ReplyDeleteIt's very cute! Can't wait to see the plates.
ReplyDeleteI would still love to know where you purchased your living room set. It is divine.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pillow! Can't wait to see it in action.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize it was a pillow, lol but rather a necklace you were interested in. lol duh me.
ReplyDeleteLove your pillow... and testing out this commenting system. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! I love Fornasetti's work, but I can't usually afford it. It's amazing to see someone else channeling his style whose prices are a little more reasonable.
ReplyDeleteHave you looked at any of Adler's books? He often showcases Fornasetti items, especially plates, and his books might be able to give you some ideas on where to display them. They show up quite a few times in his Happy Chic books : )
As for Disqus, I found it to be rather easy. I almost always use Open ID, so I knew exactly what to do and it took me maybe 5 seconds to use : )
ReplyDeleteI say keep it.
We don't have any nice pillows around here (they've all become good building blocks for preschoolers...), but I am itching to get a 'real' living room (or at least part of one) back. Great find!
ReplyDeletenice new system...and great find!
ReplyDeleteSure, it's a little slow, but as each commenter only has to load the page once (and then only if they want to comment . . . using a feed reader is the ONLY way to keep up with blogs, as you only load the whole page if you need to comment or follow an ad link), and you have to deal with ALL of the comments, I say keep it.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute pillow...I like it!
ReplyDeletetrying the comments. i love checking your blog. it always inspires...
ReplyDeletenot noticing that it takes that long. just a few more seconds to figure out the routine.
ReplyDeleteThe pillow is very cool! So, what's the verdict???
ReplyDeleteI'm trying out the new commenting system as you asked, and I think it's a great replacement. It took a nanosecond longer to load but if I hadn't been specifically paying attention to the download time, I definitely wouldn't have noticed the change. My vote goes for keep! :-)
ReplyDeletetotally you..
ReplyDeleteGreat find! I love it!
