I know most people are dreading the end of summer but I have had just enough of her icky hotness, hair wrecking humidity, thunderstorms and general attitude. Bring on Fall!
Around here, the impending arrival of autumn means one thing: Halloween prep. Yes, I'm working up some ideas for this years festivities even now. Ive hit a few snags but Mr. L says I say that every year. Hopefully it will come together soon.
In the meantime, I'm anxiously awaiting everything that comes with my favorite season (my birthday! my anniversary! cool weather! turtlenecks! boots! halloween!) including the arrival of my Holiday with Matthew Mead Autumn edition. Im sure its filled with all kinds of eye candy perfect for fall along with a couple of Halloween goodies as well.
Matthew sent over a tiny sneak peak and now I'm dying to see the rest of this bat spread as well as all the other non halloween stuff that waits for me inside this issues pages. If you want your own copy, you can pre-order here.
I also am looking forward to fall - not because of Halloween but because I love fall clothes! I'm SO not a summer person and I look foward to the return of tights and sweaters :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, love how the usually black halloween decor is all whitened out... that's a beautiful way to decorate for the holiday (which is one of my favorites, too)!
ReplyDeleteI love summer, but I admit that fall can be fun... but we here at Texas don't really have fall. We have it a few weeks after thanksgiving and then we skip right to winter. Oh well!
I have been feeling this way since July! I pre-ordered my copy of Holiday with Matthew Mead yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI figure, September 1 is fair game for fall decorations and I am getting ALL of mine out. So excited.
Girl I think sometimes we are so alike!! I love, love, love Halloween and fall and my anniversary (10th!!!) is in September. I can't wait to see Matthew Mead's Autumn edition, going over to order it now! I bought his Christmas one last year and LOVED it!
ReplyDeleteI love fall; the weather, the light and, more important, your Halloween decorations!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, the bat...I want that! I always love your Halloween posts because you're so crazy creative and it gives me a lot of All Hallow's Eve inspiration!
ReplyDeletei've been counting down to fall since spring, i'm getting married on october 15 and can't wait for it to get here!
ReplyDeleteI love Halloween too. It's almost more fun to decorate than Christmas. And fall is my favorite time of year. Hence why I'm choosing to be an October bride!! Autumn is NY is the best!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoying your blog, btw. I think it's great!
I guess I'm in the minority here as I don't look forward to fall. Too many leaves to clean up and fuel bill surges. I guess it was such a long brutal winter last year that I'm still not over it.
ReplyDeleteWell I have to admit I was not looking forward to fall until I read your post. Normally I see fall as a pre-curser to the dreaded winter and that's all. Now thanks to you I guess I can peacefully say goodbye to summer and embrace the pretty trees and cute sweaters that are soon to come!!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward for the finished products for the halloween.

Couldn't agree with you more. Fall is my favorite season for many of the same reasons: cool, crisp weather, clothes that can more easily mask those 10 extra lbs., our anniversary, and our annual Halloween bash. Ahhh. Autumn, here we come!
ReplyDeleteLoving it already!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are cute!!! I want some as well.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks great for fall and Halloween is one occasion I'm looking forward.
ReplyDeleteSummer was nice in between the rains, looking forward to fall, I'm not looking forward to winter - snow, shoveling, and potholes, And Spring is too far away to think about.
