With the spirit of that holiday in mind, I wanted to do a small giveaway as a token of thanks to those of you who read, leave kind words and generally keep me motivated all year long.
Its just a little thing but something quite personal - a vintage camera from my own collection. A Duaflex II of your very own - use it as a decorative item, paperweight or reflective surface! Who knows? It might actually still be functional as a camera if you happen to have some 60 year old film laying around.
Just leave a comment with contact information and I'll draw a winner next week.

I have a love affair with cameras, though I don't own but one "vintage" one and I am looking to get my hands on my dad's old Ricoh that my sister has put up in her closet! For shame, huh? That beautiful thing needs to be seen! I saw a fabulous Kodak #3 this weekend at the antique market. It looked like it was in great shape. Marked $170 - the guy would do $140. Is that a good deal? I love this blog. I am a photographer, yet... If I were the lucky winner I would give the duaflex to my daughter an art student working in multi media art forms. It would llikely emerge in another work of art!!

I'm not an expert on old cameras at all - I only buy ones where the price is right and I like the look. A lot has to do with the condition, etc. but unless you are looking for something in really great condition (which is not important to me b/c I like the patina of age), I would say you didn't miss anything.
