Won't you please? Please won't you be...my neighbor.
{anyone who isn't singing the Mr. Rogers theme, please raise your hand.}
I've often thought how awesome it would be to have some real life blogger friends nearby. (I know there are a lot of Brooklyn bloggers but none that I pal around with) Anyone have an extra few million and want to be my neighbor?
Bring on the real estate porn!
This amazing pad is not too far from me. Think of the aMAZing parties we could have. And brunch, we could have brunch! Swoon. We can be bFFs! (blogger friends forever)
Ok, I'm snaping out of dreamland now. Although that sick bathroom is making me double convinced I have to paint the shore bedroom an rich inky blue.
Holy Bejubus. That bathroom. Seriously. I'm lacking in words.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBut, is it just me or is that bathroom lacking a door?
Swoon.
ReplyDeleteThat bathroom is amazing! Plus that "closet" room looks like it might make a nice library
ReplyDeleteThat 'closet' is (considerably) bigger than my living room. So yea, that owner is living it up.
ReplyDeleteHa. I thought the same thing. And I love how the french doors are open too just so everyone can see you poo. Now that is confidence!
ReplyDeleteooooh, I'll SO be your neighbor. Just let me grab my checkbook!
ReplyDeleteWasn't that home in a magazine a few years ago? Maybe belongs to someone at JCrew? Or am I making this up? Anyway, too bad it's under contract...
ReplyDeleteTotally swooning over that dark bathroom.
ReplyDeleteWhat? That house is beyond amazing. I don't think there is anything I'd change, except maybe a door to the bathroom. I'm going to buy a lottery ticket right now.
ReplyDeleteI have fallen in love.
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to let us know who becomes your new neighbor / owner of that fabulous home!
ReplyDeletePretty sure the people that buy this house wouldn't dare mix with the lowly likes of me :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe. I had never seen it before today but I'm sure someone pretty fab lived there. I didn't see it was under contract this morning (or maybe someone ran out and bought it on the spot after my blog post? ha!)
ReplyDeletethat place is amazing. i live in park slope! we should get a cawf some day :)
ReplyDeleteI'll take it! Though there's nothing to be done in that house. What would I do with my time?
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. I'm in love. Those floors in the bathroom are AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually thinking about relocating up there. Alas, the millions of dollars part might be a problem...
I'm so obsessed with that bathroom. I saw it in Domino's book a few years ago and it actually made me buy the book. No matter how much I look at it, I still can't get enough of it. If I lived in that house, I wonder if I would always just hang out in the bathroom...
ReplyDeleteWow I would seriously love that place!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that jenna Lyons house (jcrew fame). Think she's getting divorced.
ReplyDeleteThat shoe collection is unbelievable! I should have lived in Brooklyn instead of Harlem when I lived in NYC. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you guys are informed. Evidently it is. I had no clue.

Provided you don't need to live in these kinds of digs, you can get by on a lot less.
ReplyDeleteOh that archway! Looks like you'll have a new neighbor soon. I'd mix with ya :) ha!
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny when you see a home and you'd make none of the choices the person did, but you still totally love the home. Like that color in the bathroom, I would Never! And yet I love it. I'm in ny state, not quite your neighbor...probably at least an hour away! Boo
ReplyDeleteDarn! I would be the site says it's under contract. Someone beat me to it!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou didn't post any of the photos of the backyard, but that is amazing too - with a grassy area, a deck & a patio. At the top of the post the first photos make me think, "expensive brooklyn brownstone" at the second photo I thought, "Isn't that Jenna Lyon's house?" Since the 3rd photo is of the most famous bathroom on the internet, I knew it was her house. it's beautiful isn't it.
ReplyDeleteYes, that backyard is lovely (although I think that style of backyard is more common here so I didn't point it out) I love the tolix chairs.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like Jenna Lyons, President of Crew's house. How do I know this? Obsessed with J Crew and saw it in a magazine a while back.
ReplyDeleteandhousemakesthree.blogspot.com
Those wood herringbone floors in the bathroom are to DIE for! You must seek out this person and become bffs...fast!
ReplyDeleteJust a quick glance said either Sotheby's or Architectural Digest! Stunning, stunning, stunning!
ReplyDeleteOh baby come to MAMA! The chandelier! The fireplace! And the... bathroom. I'm nearly speechless. Nearly. I want to take a bubble bath in there. Doors closed of course...
ReplyDeleteWe'll get along great. You can borrow my shoes (clearly my closet-room holds LOTS!) I wear a 9 1/2. Coffee on Tuesdays?
ReplyDeleteUm. Wow. I just asked Ryan and he informed me that we definitely don't have a few mill laying around. Which is disappointing. I'd love to be your neighbor. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe second I saw that living room photo, I thought "hey, Jenna's place is for sale..." I might read too many design blogs
ReplyDeleteOh blogger meetups with you would be fun! Let me get my chequebook ;)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like Jenna Lyons house (Jcrew). It's just lovely
ReplyDeleteThat home is gorgeous! I'm very lucky that my co-blogger/sister-in-law lives just 10 minutes from me. So we essentially have two houses to work on at all times. :) And yes, do an inky blue at the shore!
ReplyDeleteIs there a door on that bathroom??????? I just met one of the local bloggers today, and we had lunch and went shopping. Carmel from Our Fifth House and I had a great day.
ReplyDeleteWhoever buys it will have to transition to a foodie blogger or a celebrity stalker blogger (and do you really want one of those living next door?). There's simply nothing left to DIY for a home/decor blog :)
ReplyDeleteoooooh! i wish! :]
ReplyDeletereally...several million? I knew New York was expensive...but holy cow! You'll have to tell us what the person who does buy it does for a living. I'm clearly in the wrong line of work.
ReplyDeleteOh this is nothing. If this house were located in the right spot in Manhattan, it would be worth a lot more. Like this place for example: http://www.sothebyshomes.com/nyc/sales/0017663
ReplyDeleteWhere I live $23 million will get you a completely tricked out 200 acre ranch...but this is the great fly-over. ;)
ReplyDeleteUm! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI swear I've seen that bathroom (or at least a similar one) floating around Pinterest. So pretty. Though I am going to echo all the "uhh... door?" comments.
Love that chevron wood floor in the bathroom!
ReplyDeleteI have the winning Powerball ticket in my purse. So, just as soon as I claim my moola, I'll be moving in!!!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Limestone if I could I would in heartbeat! I loved this place since I first saw it, the light, the light!!!
ReplyDeleteDone, we're buying it, we'll be neighbors. Now I just need to find where I put that key to my money bin...I had it just the other day when I was taking a swim in it...where could it be?
ReplyDeleteThere's actually a house down the street from us that looks somewhat similar on the outside, but the inside is untouched for going on 50 years. Inside It looks like a vampire's house from True Blood (and not the nice ones). So much potential to do something just like the photos in the post.
I blogged this a few weeks ago - I really really really wish I had the few mill to buy this place - I've been obsessed for years!
ReplyDeleteI'd love for some other celebrity to buy it so we can see what they do with it!
I'm pretty sure this is Jenna Lyons house, Creative Director for J.Crew. Sadly, she and her husband are getting a divorce. It was featured in Domino a while back. I recognize the closet!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhy, yes, I think I will go pull my extra millions out of the bank and come be your bFF. Pretty stinkin' cool!
ReplyDeleteI sure love to be your neighbor. Can I move in now?
ReplyDeleteLuv. Wish I had blogger neighbors too. Sometimes my friends look at my strange when I talk about my online friends. They don't get it.
ReplyDeleteBut back to that amazing pad - yes please!
This place is amazing. And yes, it is Jenna Lyons' apartment. It was featured in the November 2009 Domino issue.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the price of that place!?! It doesn't seem outrageous when I bet the same house in Toronto would go for the same amount of money if it were located in the Annex or Yorkville!!
Why would anyone live in Manhattan when you could live like this in Brooklyn?
If you had $3,750,000!!!
It is Jenna Lyons house. I saw your post here and then saw it on Remodelista shortly after. What a coincidence. http://remodelista.com/posts/steal-this-look-bohemian-bath-in-brooklyn
