Ok, so this is only a tiny bit (ahem, 6 months!) late but you know what they say about better late than never. Sooo....let's roll out a new twist on my travel posts. Since I can't actually take you with me, I'll do the next best thing and bring something back for you!
First up is India. Shopping there is pretty much a dream so it was hard to pick but I narrowed it down to these black, white and brass bangles. (I have no idea what they are made of - I got every answer from ivory to camel bone to stone. who knows the real answer but they are very pretty on the wrist!) I have a set for my myself and I wear them all the time so I'm hoping some of you will want your own to parade around in.
More on our trip to india here, here, here and here.
Want them? Just leave a comment (don't forget to include your contact info!). It's that easy.

For those waiting to hear more about Morrocco, I do have a little something from that trip as well. Stay tuned for that one.
These are so pretty. And go with all of the camel color things I seem to have collected for myself this past season. So maybe some camel for my camel color?
ReplyDeleteAn idea for a post I'd like to see is about finances, contracts, etc. that go into purchasing such a large house and completely revamping it. I know in some of the older posts you touch on this, but I'm interested to know how you tackled all this.

ReplyDeleteSo lovely! I'd love to sport these! Tried to think of something clever but all that comes to mind is "Walk by an Egyptian" by the Bangels, and that would just be confusing. :) Not sure where exactly in India you found these, but if I win, I'm going to tell everyone that they are my 'Bangladesh(sp?) bangels'. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE these!!!

ReplyDeleteLove those...absolutely beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteLove these. Definitely versatile and would go with practically everything in my closet.
ReplyDeleteLove those bangles! The colorful bangles picture is one of my favorites from your India trip, so it feels right that you're choosing bangles for this giveaway. They would be the perfect counterpoint to the jade circle I can't remove from my left arm(my mom dislocated my thumb to put it on, then popped it back in.) When my gym buddy asks if that clanking sound is my jade hitting the machine, I'd love to be able to respond, "No, it's these fabulous ivory/camel bone/stone bangles that I just won." ;-) Thanks for hosting this terrific giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThose are fantastic! How nice of you to bring us back a souvenir!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful and I love that they came all the way from India!

ReplyDeletecrossing my fingers they fit over my mammoth sized knuckles! not really mammoth sized, but my poor wrist misses out on a lot of good stuff that doesn't fit over my hand knuckles, courtesy of my mama.
ReplyDeleteHm, it's hard to think of improvements for your site. I love all your holiday posts, and you week long posting events. Perhaps some more guides summarizing design philosophy, like your inexpert photo guide. I would love one for renting decor.
ReplyDeleteI also love those bangles, I have loads of glittery plastic ones that work alright, but these are much more...elegant.
ReplyDeleteOoohh those are really pretty - it would be fun to have a post after each of your trips showing us what you brought back!
ReplyDeletePlease pick me, pick me, pick me! One of my dream vacations is India! I love Bollywood movies! I have also started doing Bollywood zumba!!! Pick me Pick me Pick me. Please and thank you. :)

ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty! I love hearing about all your travels.
ReplyDeleteI'd love some new bracelets - they look classic.
ReplyDeleteWell, whatever they are, they are gorgeous and would go with almost anything! count me in~
ReplyDeleteI also think that they are made from "all of the above" I think some Indian dude was riding around on his ancient camel-the one he just bought for most of his money with the promise that it would take him anywhere he needed to go for many years. A few days later, when he is in some remote area of the country the darn thing keeled over from old age-leaving dude stranded and hungry. He of course had to dine on old camel meat and since he had to do that, figured he might as well save some bones for jewelry making. On his long arduous walk back to civilization he came across some elephant tusks that poachers must have dropped in their hurry to escape capture by the authorities. Being the resourceful man he was, he grabbed them up too-again to add to his new found jewelry making business. He had to throw stones at a wild dog that came near trying to get his meat-again thinking to pick up a few for he liked their color and texture. When he finally made it back (in the nick of time as he had run out of camel meat) he began his very lucrative jewelry business-just smiling at the tourists when they asked what they were made of-for he knew that would make them that much more mysterious...
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!
