For those that were following my pregnancy updates, you already know I had a great 9 months. Of course I had a few of the nasty symptoms but nothing too terrible and felt well all the way through. I was very lucky! I might have been the only full term pregnant woman in history who would have been more than happy to stay that way for a little while longer! But alas, baby had other plans and right on my due date without a single early warning, she decided to make herself known when contractions started.
Labor on the other hand wasn't so much of a joy but I'll spare you the gory details and just say that our we welcomed a healthy, beautiful girl the next morning. Photos weren't our top priority but we got a few shots to tell the story. If I ever have free time again, I'm hoping I can put together a photo book for 2012 that recaps the whole journey of the pregnancy and her arrival in right before the year was over.
We rang in the New Year from our hospital bed - definitely a New Years Eve I will never forget.
I follow you on Facebook to0 so I know about Agatha's grand entrance :) I had a great pregnancy too. I was mowing my lawn in my 9th month. I couldn't wait to do it again even after a less than magical delivery ;) fast forward 16 years later (as my uterus had different ideas) to my 7 and 10 yr olds that came to us from overseas. Still magical!!!!! Again, congrats and looking forward to more posts about your lovely daughter.

ReplyDeleteNot quite - she was born on Dec 30 so she just missed out on the NYE birthday. We were just in the hospital for a few days afterward.
ReplyDeleteHer birthday isnt quite NYE - we were just in the hospital that night since she was born on Dec 30.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrea. Im not sure if Ill be jumping to do it all over again right away - we have our hands full with just this one. Makes me wonder how anyone can handle twins!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I have to admit, I haven't been able to follow you as religiously as I did, but I had a newborn too! Same as you, on my due date, I felt I could carry for a couple more weeks if need be and then started having contracts on my due date. Too strange. My baby boy was 7 lb 12 oz, so not too far off. I bet it was strange to be in the hospital on New Year's Eve!
ReplyDeleteShe's absolutely darling, congratulations!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! She looks like a sharp one, too- I love when they're born so mentally alert. She looks ready to talk your ear off, it'll be great fun to see how big her personality is! Congratulations, being a mom is just the best!!
