I've been rocking a blue bamboo printed trench for the past 4 years - its time for something new.
On that note, I'm about to go back to the office and I have nothing to wear. While my pre-pregnancy clothes technically fit again, they don't quite look right. (Oh how I wish I could wear yoga pants to work!) So I'm feeling a bit bummed out when I get dressed lately. Hoping this little sunny addition will brighten up my fashion mood.
What is your favorite bit of fashion for Spring?
Where is it from?

ReplyDeleteHello! I just wanted to provide a word of encouragement for you. I too was in your shoes a year ago - trying on my pre-baby work clothes and them technically 'fitting' but not like they used to. It took me a while to come to terms with the fact that I had lost my weight but was left with a completely different body.
ReplyDeleteI really hope this is not the case for you - because it stinks to have to buy new clothes...but as I started to make the investment it did a wonder for how I felt about my new self.
All of this is said, realizing that every single woman will have a different experience with pregnancy both during and after - so take this with a grain of salt. Good luck during this transition – it has been a joy to follow along with your story and see the pictures of your beautiful daughter.
Back to work already?! OMG. Time flies (plus you guys get so. little. time. off)!
ReplyDeleteLove the jacket. And so I've heard it can take 10-12 months for your hips and ribs to go back to normal. So no wonder stuff doesn't fit quite the same!
Maybe grab a few new dresses and throw on a few cute blazers. And remember - if you are going to be pumping at work, you will have to wear accessible stuff (so there you go - you MUST buy some new stuff!)
Found your blog through the link up today- WOW, I love that coat. I have always wanted a brightly colored trench, either for winter of spring, but have yet to find one. That is gorgeous!

TARGET?!?! I'm gonna drive there after work. Nothing says pure awesomeness like something in yellow. As far as spring fashion goes, love pulling out my sandal wedges!
ReplyDeleteYellow is my happy color. It's the perfect shade for a trench! Yep, good ole Tar-jay never lets me down. They always carry colorful clothing that won't break the bank. Plus, anything belted accentuates the waistline ;)
ReplyDeletePurple skinny jeans. That's my spring statement. ;) Keep an eye on JCPennys, of all places. The guy who got Target up and running is now the head of Pennys. They are bringing in some nice lines. I was in there yesterday. It feels completely different.
ReplyDeleteTrenches are the best!
ReplyDeleteCute trench! I wish I could wear yellow, but with the red hair, I sort of get a ketchup and mustard look. :) My favorite bit of Spring fashion (I'm a jeans and tee girl, mind you.) is a gray flower headband.
ReplyDeleteLove the jacket! I swear all of my shirts fit differently months later. They were all so SHORT in front. And it wasn't my bust size, it had gone back to normal. It was the oddest thing, I still don't understand it.
ReplyDeleteI just purchased a yellow trench. It is a fun and sunny color.
ReplyDeleteI have decided that I will be unable to travel to England and Ireland in June without a light hooded trench coat (It just seems cool and mandatory) and have also been on the lookout for one. They are difficult to find with a hood. I love the yellow. Target has been like my bank account kryptonite lately.
