This weekend marks the unofficial start to summer but thanks to a very rainy forecast in the NY area and our shore place being uninhabitable thanks to hurricane Sandy, we are hibernating at home. Too bad since I could definitely use a bit of fun in the sun.
Speaking of gray, please come visit me at MyColortopia to read what I have to say about painting marble bathrooms. (I know many of you have your own experience with this topic.)
In other news, I'm starting to think about my Halloween plan this year. I think I've come up with a theme but I have to test out some of my plans for decor before I commit. I'm having the hardest time coming up with a costume for myself. Anyone out there make costumes? I can't seem to find anything ready made that works. (Don't get me started on the topic of slutty halloween costumes!)
I also keep meaning to finish up Mr. Limestone's man cave. It's not that far off so I really should just go underground and get it done but I've been very distracted.
Lastly Im helping with my brother and future sister in law with their wedding favors. They have spent the last few months making gifts to give away and its just about the sweetest thing so I'm excited to see how those are going to look when all done.
I hope your Memorial Day weekends are much sunnier than ours!
You are one busy bee sista!
ReplyDeleteHappy Memorial weekend..:)

I'm so happy you have started planning your Halloween party. I love Halloween and have already started planning ours. Here's a great idea for a costume on etsy http://www.etsy.com/listing/58441969/black-adult-tutu-long-black-skirt-sewn?ref=shop_home_active&ga_search_query=black%2Btutu
ReplyDeleteAt $395, it's out of my price range but I love it!
I look forward to man cave updates. My husband works in one when he is not traveling and it is horrible.
ReplyDeleteOoh, so many topics. Where do I begin?
ReplyDeletea) The Shore House. Uh-oh. I was wondering if the shore house had much damage. Seems like it has had some, and you have kept quiet about it for a long time. So sorry to hear this :( It's a enviable place, and I know you didn't need any extra aggravation!
b) I love *everything* you post about Halloween!! I'm so glad to see that you are still not only fitting Halloween festivities into your new life as a mom, but making plans big enough that you have to start thinking about it in May! I can't wait to hear about your theme, and see what you do with it. You inspire me in many ways, but with Halloween, you blow me away.
c) I look forward to the next installment about The Man-Cave, too. I'm wondering if you came up with a solution for your too-low coffee table, 'cuz I've racked my brains and never came up with anything other than stacking supermagnets under it.
I'm so sorry to hear that your shore house is uninhabitable. :( Love that you're already thinking about Halloween. Good luck on the costume. I totally feel you on the slutty Halloween costumes, NOT my style.
