Housewarming Toolbox Gift
I don't know about you but I sometimes spend more time looking for my tools than I do on the project! So before I headed out to a friends new nest I put together a toolbox with all the essentials that you can never have too many of!

ReplyDeleteMy dil received so many crystal vases at her bridal shower a couple years ago that I was wondering where she would put them all. I think she re-gifted a few in the end. Something like this was given to her by my SIL and she loved it. Thanks for the reminder. I have another shower to attend soon and now I know what's on the gifty menu. :)

I would have never thought to give this as a shower gift but it could definitely work for those couples who are moving to a new place after they are married. I'm an old fart so I don't seem to know many of those anymore :

ReplyDeleteI must have at least 4 tape measures and I still can't find one when I need it. I should have probably bought myself another one while I was putting this together. Ha!

I recently did this for two friends who moved into homes and included such things as furniture pads, painters tape, picture hangers, etc a gift certificate for pizza one night, and of course a bottle of wine! I put it all in a Nate Berkus for Target basket that could be used as well. It was really fun to put together!

ReplyDeleteIt was packed to the gills so I'm sure I'm forgetting something here is what I recall:
Delete- laser level
- tape measure
- 2 package of ooks (or you could include nails)
- hammer
- screwdriver
-hex wrench
- twine
- duct tape
- a few different kinds of plyers
- razor
-flashlight
-drop cloth
-scissors
I should have probably put in some bandages too but I was all filled up :)
