Calling all Brooklyn designers!
Uncommon goods is running a Brooklyn flag design contest calling for entries for crests that personify the various Brooklyn neighborhoods. The contest will be judged by design goddess SwissMiss, former borough president Marty Markowitz and uncommon goods founder David Bolotsky. What fun - I can't wait to see the winning designs. Entry deadline is July 31 so get to work!
So what better time to share a little giveaway from uncommon goods that personifies bright ideas? One lucky winner will get this fabulous industrial lightbulb walnut bookend lamp. Isn't it beautiful? Bonus points for being hand made in the USA.

ReplyDeleteI've only visited Brooklyn twice, and I'm embarrassed to say I don't know which "neighborhood" I was in both times but I certainly enjoyed it. It seems to be such an eclectic design sanctuary - unique and not afraid to be boldly different...similar to Portland OR, where we lived for a while
