I know this isn't your typical ikea hack - installation is easy, it required zero power tools but that's partly why I loved it so much.
Not only does it beautifully compliment the dark paint and draw the eye up, it also adds an architectural element to a flat ceiling and add surprising personality to the room. In other words, I could not love this more! What do you think?
Have a better idea of what you would do with $75 at Ikea?
No power tool or paint or hardware, what else could beat a $75 Ikea hack like this? Simply amazing!
ReplyDeleteI'm confused. Is this a guest post? That isn't your home. It looks cool though.
ReplyDeleteNot a guest post, just sharing something I thought was especially well done and could be easily recreated by just about anyone. Simply click on the image source for more info on the designers house.
Deletelove the honeycomb pattern. I bet dinner parties there must be the bees knees. $75 dollars at ikea - just try me. xo

I love this! What a great idea. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAlas, I must dissent. The mirrors on the ceiling don't add to the room for me..... they reflect a poorly made DIY fire-hazard light fixture, imho. The black walls and "eclectic" furniture and window coverings are very odd too. This room looks like college students live here and collected random furnishings from previous tenants and/or the street (btdt, I was 20 years old once too). The chairs are interesting but that's about it. Hot tranny mess.
ReplyDeleteStephanie, thank you so much for posting my dining room! I am so flattered, I don't even mind the hot tranny mess comment! :)
