Oh to be garage less blogger in the winter is a little bit of a mixed blessing and curse. On the one hand, not having anyplace to do a messy project means I can sit back and relax for a little while. On the other, I have all of these projects I want to tackle and have to twiddle my thumbs while the snow piles up. In the meantime, here is what has been keeping me busy.
(1) NYC is frozen, no news there. (2) Big Cat has either a new frenemy that he spends countless hours staring at through glass. (3) I really enjoyed reading Tinkerlab written by a fellow blogger. Especially in this weather, creative inspiration on what to keep little hands occupied with is always welcomed. (4) I don't have a use for them but I loved this rope mirror that Michael's was selling for $20 each. Go grab a few! (5) I finally got that Ikea cart home and I have to fill it with art supplies but for now its the worlds best toy on wheels (6) Guess who gave into her Craigslist obsession and bought a new piece that needs a makeover? this gal.
I saw that mirror at my Michael's yesterday but it was marked $49.99. What a deal for it to be $20 at yours!!
ReplyDeleteOh maybe it was $25 rather than $20 then b/c they were having a 50% off sale of everything in that aisle. Either way, a good deal if you have a spot for small mirrors.
DeleteI love those mirrors! I have found little ways to get around the winter. Yes, I have a garage, but I still don't want to hang out in there and I don't like spray painting in there, either. I needed to spray some hinges, so I put them all in a large diaper box, set them in the snow to spray, then brought into the kitchen to dry. Rinse and repeat. Works great for small stuff, but I still want summer back asap.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure its just as cold there but I can't spray outside b/c the spray doesn't go on as easy. But my real problem is cutting wood. Can't cut a thing in a foot of snow. Or I should say I won't cut a thing in a foot of snow :)
